so now only hsbc travel one is the option left ?
Axis Horizon is also there, but benefits for both are more or less the same.

Sad that Indian CC market has no good practical travel/miles oriented cards anymore. It is overflowing with copy-paste cashback cards instead.

Nothing to complain too much, it is just that what the market wants. Just like the car industry is full of copy-paste mileage optimised tin cans instead of proper performance oriented cars.

We forced the banks to do same. Travel oriented cards = full masti for travel agents rather than genuine user.

Remember magnus, 25k RPs on 1L spend, 5:4 transfer, less fee. Then few #*@*## came, and all over. Same going on with Atlas which forced axes to doom it.

Hope they just don't discontinue for existing users.

True. But sadly looks like the party is going to get over soon. Been hearing in multiple forums that Axis has passed a circular saying that the existing Atlas users will be migrated to some other card.

Atleast I hope they would give an option between Horizon & Olympus.

will be migrated to some other card.
They won't be let it go at least even for a year?

This was the only one that made great sense with 2500 point on 3L spend and that epic 2x on Accor/etc. I doubt anything comes close for 3-4L spenders like me :/

Any idea what they will force us to migrate to? Maybe I will just move to something LTF to preserve my credit score and limit if I don't find anything worth the move.

Yes the card was the best mid range Travel card in the country for so many years. It was also one of the most abused cards in the market: from travel agents using it for business purpose to people booking hotels and then cancelling it to retain the milestone reward points or cancelling the card itself only to reissue it to get double joining benefit, Atlas has seen it all. Axis bank was finding it too costly to sustain. Many CC experts on Youtube had repeatedly warned of an impending devaluation soon (but nobody expected it to completely stop existing). Its replacement is still a mystery, only Axis knows. If lucky it might be Olympus/Horizon and if unlucky it may be the Amex privilege card.

I definitely will choose to close or downgrade to something LTF if they give me any Amex crap. I am already seeing how useless HDFC DCB can be for so many expenses, I am not touching an Amex with a pole! Closed my last Amex (LTF Plat Travel 2019 - but completely stripped of features hence) and never even thought of getting one.

What features did Platinum Travel lose?
Everything. They had even removed lounge access on it because of zero fee. So it was a LT3F card - LifeTime "Free of Fees and Features" card 😬

Actually not so much lifetime. The next year when they called before fee was being levied they only agreed to reduce 50% of fee and for the rest they suggested I added some phone bill auto-pay or so and fee will be waived and then I could remove the auto-pay right after 2-3 days (and I did). But after that it became more complicated or so next to next year they refused waiver altogether (or more steps; I can't recall) so I had closed the card.

Besides those were the heady days of DCB when if you just looked at your DCB (or Infinia) you'd get 30-33% returns on something or the other so no other card stood a chance 😀
