Below 26 digisave account with rural branch AMB 2500 .
Otherwise regular savings account rural branch 5000 AMB .

URBAN branch double the AMB

6 months fix you will start receiving pre-approved offers for credit card.

Yes offline account is also good. I have the digital Easy access account. Really smooth experience. No sms charges charged till now. Only debit card amc.

It is possible for home maker to get card from Hdfc. With a hdfc women's savings account my mother got pre approved paid Millennia. But limit was around 50k.

Duration/ Pre approved timeline and Funds /Balance you kept in Mother's Account, if you can share!!!

Within 6 months, initially for 2 months it was close to 25k but then my father transferred close to 1.5lakh (closed her Oriental bank account in my mother's name and balance was transferred).

what also helps in quickening the process is:
1) Paying utility bills using HDFC billpay
2) Opening a FD / RD
3) Taking a big ticket electronic item EMI using HDFC DC in AMZN / FK
4)using Payzapp .
etc..

I will add more to this list as and when I remember something else..
