Best Air India In-Flight Meal?

Hey everyone,

I’m flying with Air India soon and noticed there are multiple meal options available.
Before choosing, I wanted to check with frequent flyers here about what actually tastes good on board.

Here’s the list of meal options I can choose from:

🍗 Non-Vegetarian Options
  • Hindu Non-Vegetarian Meal
  • Muslim Meal
🥦 Vegetarian Options
  • Asian Vegetarian Meal
  • Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian Meal
  • Jain Meal
  • Vegan Meal
🍎 Special / Light Options
  • Diabetic Meal
  • Gluten-Free Meal
  • Fruit Platter
🧒 Others
  • Child Meal

A bit about me:
I’m non-vegetarian and really enjoy chicken, but I don’t like curd in its raw form - mainly because of the taste.
I’m fine with it if it’s cooked or used for marination though.

I’ve come across mixed opinions - some say the Muslim Meal is the most flavorful, while the Hindu Non-Vegetarian Meal is okay but on the milder side.

So I’d like to hear from those who’ve flown Air India recently:

👉 Which meal option do you prefer and why?
👉 What would you recommend for dinner?
👉 And what works best for breakfast?

Looking forward to your suggestions and meal experiences. ✈️🍱

You are Non Veg , so can't advice 😭
But for Veg : Jain Food or Fruit Platter can be considered.

I have tried the Fruit Platter on my last flight, as it was midnight and I had already filled my stomach at the lounge 😀
I am considering veg also for breakfast. Thank you 🙂
How was your experience with fruit platter quantity and quality , variety and freshness !!!

The quantity is adequate if you have a normal appetite, but it may not be sufficient if you are extremely hungry.
The quality is good. Not so fresh.

I remember they provided a few pieces of pineapple, papaya, muskmelon, grapes and kiwi.

Everytime I take the chicken biryani... I love the taste of the biryani they make

Lemme tell you a secret trick

Choose non veg one then ask the lady who is distributing "After distribution if you are left with extra veg one can I try that as well and mostly they say yes 🙂 "

Disclaimer: Try at your own risk and do your own research 🙂
Interesting!!! 🤔

I hesitate even to ask extra chutney for my dosa at restaurants... How can I?! 🤣
#PoorIntrovertMe 😅

Let me try to try this 😝

This will not for work for everyone.
Generally the crew is generous to kids in these requests
