Planning to apply for Atlas card
will I get 2 miles per 100 spent on rent?
I read that fuel does not give any miles, except for the fuel surcharge waiver
EDIT No edge miles for rent, fuel, wallet load, insurance (>5000)

I guess you may get points on rent payments as they haven’t mentioned on their T&C file. I also checked it and there is no mention for rent payment. I never tried paying rent payment via my atlas card so cant be sure!

But Atlas gives 4% return for non travel transactions. I was only wondering if rent is excluded for Atlas.

Attached is the detailed terms & conditions of Atlas, in which there is not a single word mentioned about rent

Atlas miles expiry is 1 year only.

5 Atlas miles = 10 airmiles /100 for
Direct Airlines, direct Hotels, Axis Bank Travel EDGE Portal

2 Atlas miles = 4 airmiles /100 for everything else, excluding spends on Airlines, Hotels, Travel EDGE, Fuel, Insurance (over 5000), wallet recharge, rent.

Then Magnus Burgundy is better for 4.8% return and loss of 0.46 + 1.18%=1.64% for paying rent on Red Giraffe, where the rental agreement is mandatory over 20000 rupees

Atlas 0.00--0.46--1.18= -1.54% (loss)
Magnus upto 50k/mth 2.40--0.46--1.18=0.76% return
Magnus Burgundy upto 50k/mth 4.80--0.46--1.18=3.16% return
Stanchart Ultimate (no cap) 2.00--0.46--1.18=0.36% return

Rent will give you reward points (except Atlas), but rent is not counted for milestones in all cards.

Please ask Axis customer care and let us all know, because for Magnus rent does NOT qualify for any target milestone nor annual milestone for waiver of renewal charge

Spends threshold for Annual Fee reversal and Spends threshold for Milestone benefits will exclude rent and wallet transactions. The Merchant Category Code of Rent is 6513 and Wallet is 6540.

So in the app where the atlas tiers are shown so far rent is showing up in total spend towards milestone. Can anyone who has claimed milestone benefit clarify if rent is counted or not. Planning to get another card just for rent if atlas milestone is definitely not in play
