My IDFC Wealth Credit Card comes with Railway lounge access and my dad is going on a train ride next week. Could I give him the card to swipe at the lounge?

This year in August, I gave 1 IDFC and 1 ICICI bank CC to my parents to access railway lounge at New Delhi Railway Station. Nobody checked the name on the card or the name on the tickets and they were allowed to enter the lounge… no questions asked.

Is it necessary to spend 5k per quarter on ICICI Card for Railway lounge access like the airport lounge ?

In a normal scenario it shouldn't be a problem as long as your father is carrying the physical card. But having said that it depends on the person who gonna authorize the card at the entry point

There is no need of any spending for railway lounge as of now ..
Even for icici card ( coral)
No they won't allow untill card match with identity card ( aadhar)

Just a small example, I have given my credit card for airport lounge access to my daughter along with my spouse. They both got entry without any issue. However it was airport lounge access and with HDFC card.
So let hope 4 the best bro

No railway lounge aren't like airport.
Its very niche now .
They will ask them to pay 100 per hour

Yes it does has domestic and international airport lounges for both primary and add-on members
You can look at idfc wealth dc . If you want lounge for non Major airport.( That too for guest not even add on holders)
