Paid for my new Car with SBI Elite card

Recently I have booked Hyundai Verna IVT and planned to pay the amount with Credit card.
Showroom owner said I have to pay 1.5% charges.
But, Yesterday I have paid booking amount (1.25 lac without charge in good faith) with my SBI Elite card
Today paid 2 lac using Rupay card on UPI(without charge)
Will pay next 8 lac with Elite with 1.5% charges
And rest with UPI CC.

Charges I have to bear 800000*1.5%= 12000

Value back-
1) Annual fee waiver on 10 lac - 5000 rs or 20000 points
2) 10000 points on 3 lac spend
3) Another 10000 points on 4 lac spend
4) 15000 points on 5 lac
5) 15000 points on 8 lac


Total - 50000 + 20000(fee waiver) + 20000 (2 points/100 )

Making all together= 90000 points means 22500
Minus- 12000 charge
So over all 10000 profit.
With that, around 5000 Points on UPI CC.
So total around 12-13000 rs profit even after paying 1.5%

If someone else also used it.. do comment

Recently my Elite card was due for renewal. When I submitted my request to cancel the card, someone from bank called me up and asked if I would like to continue if the charges are waived off which I agreed to since Elite gives you BOGO 500/- offer every month. So the renewal charge benefit is something you can remove from your calculation.
 
Bhai jo tha usme se best utilise Kiya.
Baaki I belong to Tier-3 city..yaha banks card easily nahi dete.. especially premium cards

I have already taken Cash discount from them of almost 1.5 lac.
Agar usme se thoda kam rahta (1.4 lac or less)to card charges waha barabar ho jate..
I chose cash discount.. kyu jabardasti process lamba karna

I hope you checked with other dealers too.
Anyway, you have already bought toh fir Matlab nahi banta ye sab calculation ker ke.


But if anyone is going to buy the car in the future, this is for you, make sure you negotiate with multiple Dealers.

That's the way to go if you can convince the dealers. I just hope you have checked the MCC or ensured that the reward points are reflected in your account for the 1.25 lac that you have paid. I have seen cases here where people followed the same approach but since the merchant mcc wasn't proper they ended up paying extra charges but not getting any reward points at all.
