I'm planning to do sky diving in dubai upcoming trip. I have been recommended to book directly through skydive website if possible.

Planning to use my axis magnus to get aep. Does anyone know the mcc for fly dubai if they have done it earlier?

Thanks this is new.. Temp blocking is done through the app?

You will have an issue only if it is either Govt or rental MCC. Most likely it not going to be any of these

An idea just came to me...can we just enter wrong cvv or otp and ask for mcc too?

Simply temp block the card and try to make the transaction. Then call customer support to ask for mcc. It is a foolproof method and I’ve done it dozens of times.

I booked via Headout. Same price, I used this portal in Feb this year and got points on a Yes Bank card. Not sure about MCC.

did you check? I also booked thru this website. waiting for the transaction to settle to check points are credited. Using M4B.

Just checked with Axis , MCC code is : 8299. SCHOOLS AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
If you are using magnus, then you should get points i guess. Will confirm once i get mine.

Will I get EP and AEP for this international transaction on my Axis Burgundy CC? Cant find it in any exlusion list but just want to confirm as its axis..

I know this isn't the direct answer to your question, but I booked the same tour via Klook on my Axis M4B. Paid in INR, so saved the forex charges plus back then they had some promo running so saved another 4-5k.

Thanks...yes I did see it on Klook too...however people have recommended if possible try and book it through the website directly otherwise in case of bad weather, cancellation etc. it might become an issue

I had no issue whatsoever. Also, I have used Klook all across South East Asia, Middle East and even some parts of Europe. My experience with them has been fabulous. You can read the terms and conditions on Klook when booking. In most cases, Klook follows vendor cancellation policy.

Great then, I will go ahead with Klook if there is any benefit. One more question: Did your weekday normal klook itinerary contain photos and videos or did you need to purchase that separately?

Did you get the AEP and EP for the Klook transactions? Any idea about its MCC?

in klook if we do trx bank charges currency conversion charges right ?

Isn't DCC typically higher than the forex charges by directly paying in the foreign currency?

DCC is 1.18% and forex charges are 2.36% for Magnus

Thanks I will book through Klook then...prices are almost the same right now but still small advantage is there

Since I have you both here...could you recommend good desert safari options in Dubai and any other activities that you enjoyed the most?

Note - For the desert safari there are cheaper options (if cost is a concern). Also, if you are going with family better opt for the buggy instead of ATV. We met with an accident because people drive reckless and sand makes it worse. I was lucky to escape with a minor cut but still be careful.
