Kotak Indigo Pre Approved - Wrong Company entry in application - Sales person threatening

Hi,

Recently, I received a pre-approval for an Indigo Card from a salesperson. I applied through him, but the issue is that the person put a random company name in application without my knowledge, and when I asked him about it, he threatened me he would make my applications as rejected if I spoke this their customer team or nodel. And company does matter for pre approved offer, I'm not sure about this.

My first pre approved offer was approved 4 months back this is my second time I'm getting pre approved from bank

Escalate to PNO, why are you afraid of his threat to reject? In any case if he has submitted its not in his hands to reject, only customer's to withdraw.

Best not to deal with such sales person. If you have his details (email id, his managers email) etc. just escalate to PNO with the threat that this is mis-selling and you'll escalate to RBI about the false mis-selling activities done by Kotak bank staff

If the card is approved... Keep it... Kotak cards are not a such big deal... Just one card... Anyone is enough....

Keep calm and wait for bank decision, i'll not suggest you to escalate this issue right now, this can lead to application rejection from bank end. Just wait... of they approve your application, change your company after that.

Note- If bank send someone to verify your employment status (office address), just tell him/her the truth.

You can change the employment details after you get the card. And no need to worry of pre-approved card from Kotak, office verification dose not occur. But the one thing that I am in doubt is that during self application of pre-approved card from Kotak, employment details was not asked at all.

Let the application get approved. Now keep the call recording of him stating that he deliberately gave false information. Now escalate it to the PNO and give your current employment details, and narrate the incident.

don't worry about the threats.... nothing will happen even if he gets the file rejected.

reading the screenshots, i don't think he was threatening, his english seems weak and he appears to want to say that if you ask him, he will stop the application 😅

one thing is for sure - he wanted to complete his targets and didn't 'forget' to ask you company name. any genuine agent would have called you and asked you company name had he forgotten, instead of filling random name.
