Hotel Points HDFC Marriot Bonvoy Free Night Redemption. How to get free breakfast?

Hi team,
So I finally put in a request for redemption of the 1 free night on marriot bonvoy.
This enables me to get a standard room worth 15k points at max. Over and above the points will get deducted from my account.
However, there is no option to select free breakfast or anything like that.
How do I go about getting in a request for Free Breakfast?
Can someone please help me out with this?

Looks like Marriott properties in Bangalore which are eligible for hdfc Marriott bonvoy first night award booking dors not include any breakfast. How to add them to your booking, any trick etc from your redemption will be appreciated

Just request them over chat from the mobile app or by calling the hotel directly. If they agree, good and enjoy the breakfast. If they don't, let it go

No! You need to be Platinum Elite or above for this.

A simple search would have fetch you multiple results. Just go through the experiences of many users.

Answer to your question is you will not have breakfast free in Marriott redemption, completely depends on the property you visit to provide based on your history and tier.

Free breakfast is a plat+ benefit in Marriott. At gold / silver tier, there is no entitlement and outcome is never guaranteed, it can change anytime based on the mood of the front desk executive

I called and asked them if there was complimentary breakfast. Was told it is not present.
Asked if they could do anything to accommodate. And was told they will add it.
Will post here once the trip is completed.

Got the free breakfast. Just checked out yesterday.

But 1 thing I was not aware of. If you book using points, and order room service you need to pay upfront. Or add some amount on hold during checkin for food and other spends.

That may be hotel to hotel. Having stayed at multiple courtyard, fairfield using points, I’ve always settled food bills at checkout and never held any pre authorised amount. In fact at occasions I’ve settled food bills using points at checkout. Return is around 1/3rd though.

Had read about this. But I guess it doesn't work at Sheraton for free night.

Likewise, I ask at check in time and they add it at no charge.
