Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

Just for my info. Do you need approvals to file the application itself and once it’s initiated into the system, most likely it will go thru OR you need approvals after the application is filed into the system for the approver to approve (more like a workflow).
Asking because some folks are talking about filing the application itself and no so much about it being in-progress.

For my case the RM took the approval before filing the application itself.
I was told they have been advised to not file the application unless they have the approval

Once it was filled he told me email approvals are there now the same needs to be filled into the system and the card will get generated.

Hm I think in my case they filed application after getting Regional Head approval but before State Head approval.

If you don’t fulfill the ppop criteria they have to first take approval to apply for the card and after that it goes through normal approvals in which SH approval is mandatory
How do you know this? Is it called out in any document or someone from the bank like RM informed you of this?

Yes, approvals are required for filing the EPM application and later on too.

May be if you don’t meet certain criteria like PPOP, TRV etc. then they might need prior approvals else approvals built as a part of their regular application workflow would do.
On a different note, looking at recent EPM approvals, I feel, Infinia approval is still relatively harder.

How? Infinia’s spend based criteria is rather convenient to achieve.

For new Infinia cards, the criteria is 5L net salary. For upgrades, 9-11L spends in 6 months and credit limit of 8L+. There the best you can do is to write to their Sr. Mgmt and wait for their go ahead... but again it will be a hit or miss even after meeting the criteria. I feel, ICICI is still more considerate. 🙂
But again experience varies person to person.

What kind of approvals do they look for later on during the application?
My RM said they received the State head approval and then initiated the application. However it has been 4 days, but no progress on the application.

It just the normal workflow of the card application you will see the card in the app if everything goes right in a week or so because of march ending it is taking time
