If you get a call from someone and you can authenticate the caller then only enable the international charge, else keep it locked. You never know it could be scammer trying to tokenise your card.
Now airtel is charging for incoming OTP messages during international roaming even when you have home plan activated. Infact now if you want incoming OTP for bank purposes, you have to have home plan active as well as pay 98 for every 28 days to them.
Salaried can also hire , it is not expensive these days. And you don't need them always just task based.
Anyway, as salaried, I think maximum 4 or 5 is enough beyond that it will be hard to manage.
Open two account (it must be of different variant) with them, they pool them through one customer ID number. Login to your netbanking or app and you can see two different account number, with there seperate debit card number, link them accordingly. and then request for higher variant card...
