There was actually a list shared in another thread, that has your institute and a lot of other ones. In Noida branch they're denying and follow only AA list. The implementation of the scheme is really weird.

Nope, you'll be reissued the same signature+ debit card. Basically, once you take the upgrade there's no going back unless you close the account, one of the shittiest policies but that's how they work.

Duet is one of the better ones imo - LTF, works on their offers plus no reward redemption bs. Straight 1% cashback on spends credited directly in the statement.

I personally hold 3 - Bajaj, Duet and Play. Don't think there's any limit atleast on their co-branded cards anymore.
