This is worth complaining to RBI or some ombudsman. Where is this policy listed? They can't just make up their own rules

@sjmajumder I got rejected for credit limit increase by PNO in axis. My current monthly limit is 6 percent of the ITR for last 2 years which I sent to them. Are they required to share the specific reason as per RBI?

Yeah exactly. It's not worth my time and honestly I would feel bad if they got penalized also. I'm fine as long as someone else did the job for me.

I don't think the bank loses anything - so there's nothing to patch. The discounts are offered by the brand and the merchant. It's built into the price of the product. What is listed for 1 lakh with no cost EMI should really sell for 90K to begin with - there's no way for the average consumer...

I cancelled the same day on which the EMI showed up on my cards page. It was a few days after I had actually placed the order.

Conclusion - EMI was cancelled without any fees as always. Even the EMI conversion fees of 299 was reversed. Really wish I could complain to HDFC about that over smart guy I got the first time.
