They don't tell you the token on call or WhatsApp. You tell them to generate a token on call or WhatsApp. The token is sent to your registered number by SMS.
Everything can be activated using branch token, separate token for each component. If your branch is far away and you have some branch official's phone number, you can get the token on phone/WhatsApp and activate, starting with mobile app and or internet banking.
Compensation is provided before closure. Once closed, bank/BO forgets who you were. Compensation amount could be decided by BO and or bank on case to case basis. Before closure banks sometimes ask for satisfaction letter from customer without which they cannot close the complaint.
