The above trick only works when you are pre-approved (less enquiries in last 3 months and nil enquiries from Amex in last 3 months). If you are pre-approved it will show a tentative limit and will allow VKYC. If there is no V-KYC card will not be approved in non serviceable locations. So don't try.

Even I am facing similar issue. They stated that within 15 days relevant team will revert regarding the credit limit restore. It has been 30 days no response, filed complaint with PNO.

These are financial crimes and banks will recover each paisa once these things unravel in their internal audits.
