Recommend a laptop for work

Suggest a laptop for work - it mostly involves heavy web browsing. Nothing more, no coding, no gaming, no video editing work.

- Must have 16GB DDR5 RAM (unsoldered preferred), expandable upto 32GB minimum
- AMD Zen4 or Intel Arrow Lake or Lunar Lake architecture in processors. Question: For heavy browsing, do I need H series processors or U series is fine? How about Intel Ultra 225V type of processors?
- 512GB SSD minimum
- Prefer lightweight laptops
- 14 inch preferred, don't mind 15.6 inch either
- Good battery capacity, the higher the better
- Type-C charging must. I see some laptops have old-school charging port but they also have a type-C through which charging is possible. So that is fine too.
- Prefer small touchpad
- IPS screens only, no OLED
- No touchscreens

Budget is as minimum as possible, of course 🙂 but if I can get it under Rs. 60,000 during the sale it would be awesome.

Edit: No Apple Macbooks as only Windows/Linux suits my purpose.

Macbook period unless you need an app which only works on windows.
Long battery life and a good processor. The new base configuration now comes with 16GB of RAM.
I used Windows for about four years, but in 2020 I switched to a Mac with the M1 Pro chip. Since then, I haven’t looked back at Windows. Over the years, I’ve also used the MacBook Air with M2 and M4 chips. Even after two years of use, both still feel like new. Unfortunately, I lost my M1 Pro, but the M2 and M4 Airs continue to perform flawlessly.

With a Mac, there’s no hanging, no BSOD just a smooth, seamless experience. They even handle light coding with ease.

You can go with either a MacBook or Vivobook. I’ve been using the MacBook Air M1 since 2021 and it’s been excellent with no issues. minus is premium apps, like MS Office.

Heavy browsing means multiple tabs for work purpose or casual browsing?

Resource usage depends on this, core i5 H series should be sufficient and ultra series other than U without proper thermal management is not recommended.
