Best & Worst Credit Cards of 2025 - Community Voting Thread

It’s that time of the year again! 🎉

Every year, before we publish our Best Credit Cards of the Year article, we open the floor to the community — because your insights ensure we don’t miss any hidden gems… or any disasters. 😄

So let’s hear it from you all!
Make sure you post why do you think that card is worst or best

💳 Which credit card launched in 2025 deserves the title of the BEST?
💥 And which one, according to you, was the WORST launch of 2025?

Note: Only cards launched in 2025

👉 Make sure you also mention why you think that card is the best or the worst.
Your reasoning helps us understand the real user experience behind each card and shapes the final TechnoFino rankings.

Best: SBI Phonepe Select Black ( deadly combination of online shopping and utility payments)

HSBC TravelOne : Absolutely go to card for frequent travelers.

Worst : Kotak Cashback+ : Another underwhelming card from Kotak which does not justify the fees

Slice Credit card: Over glorified, complicated card with base reward rate is 1% (not for everyone), Supermoney Pro is way better.
I will add BOB Cashback too in worst list because of the supermarket MCC exclusion

I would further like to add roar bank CC for UPI transaction in Best and Supermoney Pro to worst

Controversial Opinion:
There are no "good" (highly rewarding all-round) credit cards available in the Indian market today, that can be easily accessed by common people. There are only two-bit cards that pretend to give good rewards with convoluted rules that you need to be a CA to make sense of.

No, not even cashback cards because none among them reward offline spends. We have a few "good" cards that reward only very specific spends.

Which card available outside the Indian market satisfies your criteria?

Supermoney pro is just devalued to 1.5% return from 1.1.2026.
See the thread about it for detailed explanation on how it is 1.5% and not 3% from 1.1.2026

Mostly agree to this.
If somone want a good reward rate across different categories, then they have to go with a combination of cashback cards. Not just one.
For eg, in cashback category, there are cards that give 10% but only for grocery, that too capped at 1500 per month.
Like this category wise restrictions and capping of maximum cashback limits the earning potential.

In the points category, I think Atlas/Plat travel/Regalia Gold are somewhat close to what we can call as all rounders and more accessible.
If we consider cashback world, Tata neu infinity or phonepe black cards could be considered as good all rounders to an extend (even though they are tied to tata/phonepe ecosystems).
