ICICI Bank Home Loan Interest Rate Change

1. Hi, How and when is the home loan interest changes for ICICI bank? RBI has decreased the repo rate twice however the loan interest has not changed yet for me for the last repo changes.
2. Does it reduce the tenure or it reduces the EMI amount?

1. Usually in this Quarter, check app/contact support for next update.
2. U might have selected 1 option during loan process, same will apply. If needed to change, bank will communicate with you.

If rate is lower, usually reduce the EMI amount. If rate is higher, they'll ask or use default option selected by you.

In my case, the reset was scheduled for 1st May (as per Loan agreement) which would have given me advantage of (0.5%) reduction. They instead deliberately reset it yesterday and wef 1st April (after RBI announced their 2nd rate cut) which led to reduction of (0.25%) only. Now the next reset is after 3 months leading to a net loss for me. I have raised a complaint to the customer care.

Home loan based on MCLR usually changes will affect twice in a year (every 6 months) based on RLLR usually quarterly change

ICICI has reduced IR from 1st August in my case. Now it is 7.9%

Today searched all massgaes and compared with repo rate change but doesnt look like icici is consistant in passing on the benifit to customer. Even the rate cut/ change massgae emails are not consistant. can any one check and confirm similar issue

Compared with the massages sent by icici bank and some help from chatgpt to make table and repor rate change date

Mf did scams. They said they've adjusted the loan rate as per repo rate while the repo rate was same in December 2025 as it was 2 months ago. My roi of home loan stayed the same after their "reset" at 7.75%.

Now they're telling us that the next reset will be in March to 7.50%. One of the shadiest banks truly.

Bank of India does that. Even I have a home loan and both times I did get their correspondence without even asking. Last time they even asked me if I would be interested to reduce emi amount or no of months.

LIC HFL is not even reducing the rates, between Feb & Jun RBI reduced 1% REPO while loan rate reduced only 0.25%. RBIO not taking complaints against LIC HFL and directing to NHB.
NHB is useless as it doesn't have Ombudsman system and its grievance redressal email not receiving mails.

p.s. lic hfl customer care is of no use as they keep replying in circles.
