I guess the trick would be applicable for normal cards only. Cashback card is too good be issued for LTF. Have you tried negotiating the annual fees reversal or have you hit the yearly target of 2 lacs?

5 lacks already spent on it fee reversal time has not arrived as 1 year is not completed its just 6 months now
Then why do you want it to be ltf ?

still why pay for the fees and also have other cards also they are also having some spend based targets to achieve reversal this is not the only card so by spending once if the same can be achieved as ltf thats best then forget about the same and take benefit from other card thats the funda

but please do let us know here if and when you get this CB King ( SBI CB CC) for LTF because you would be the history maker to get this baby LTF as we all would like to have it as LTF...

Most probably, they have stopped converting it to LTF after a year after it's launch - as it became the most popular CB card out there.
Even many SBI staff and SBI Pensioners were not able to get it converted to LTF in the recent past.
So, avoid trying some silly tricks - like threatening to close it - they may close it without any delay.
Do not go by someone's old post. Read the situation as of now. And, play safe.

Based on the conversation in the thread about sending a nice email, I have followed all the steps suggested. But they have a standard reply stating that you need to spend 2 lakh to get the fee waiver. I have been escalating the issue and waiting to see if they will take any action. If they don't, I will be happy to pay the fee and aim to reach the 2 lakh milestone next year. So far, I have already received 21k as cashback since the card issue date.
