I noticed that Google Pay lets you add Visa and MasterCard credit cards.
What are the benefits of adding them? Can you track spending or pay without the physical card?
Also, does the phone need NFC for tap & pay? I'm using the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. Thanks!

Today only?😐

You can make payments for utilities on G-pay using it. You can even pay scanning Bharat QR, last but not least Tap and Pay.

Unfortunately you need to search in txh history. Unlike Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet you cannot see txn history of a particular card under particular head.

Yes, it's obvious without it how can even payments take place?😐
Smartphone must be NFC enabled.

It does support NFC. You're good to go. But you can add only eligible card. Few banks support only credit card, few both cc and dc on both network few only one.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I had noticed this earlier but never added any card as such. Will try now and see how the payments work.
