ICICI Bank revises lounge access rules on certain debit cards

ICICI Bank has announced a change in the airport lounge access rules for some of its debit cards, effective October 1, 2024.

Under the new guidelines, cardholders can enjoy two complimentary airport lounge visits per quarter by meeting a spending requirement of Rs 10,000 in the preceding calendar quarter.

The new criteria for accessing complimentary domestic airport lounges apply to the following ICICI Bank debit cards:

Yes I have personally verified this. I hold Sapphiro Amex, Visa and MC variants and few months back I spent 1 Lakh only on Visa variant but got free lounge for all three variants. I could check the lounge count available on Dreamfolks website and it reflected the same as if lounge spend criteria was met separaty for each sapphiro variant but the reality being that I spent on only 1 variant. I had even used the lounges in that month by giving it to friends and family and for AMEX variant, I personally used it at Delhi T2 international terminal which shouldn't have been possible considering I sataofied spend criteria only for VISA and not others.
Hence, Verified!

I just now checked, all my 3 variants of Sapphiro and Rubyx Rupay card's bill is cumulatively generated. Amazon Pay is separate as it's a Co branded card.
Now that I have received Manchester United card, it's bill I need to check if it's cumulative or not.

I am thinking of the bill is generated in a cumulative way, maybe individual spend criteria won't be needed as 75K spend for sapphiro May unlock lounge for other cards.

Any Gemstone series cards must individually meet the spend criteria at least once. That unlocks all other cards in the series lounge access.
Since the Manchester United card is co-branded, I believe you need to meet the spend-based criteria separately.

Check once, if you got the Manchester United card this quarter then next quarter your lounge access will be free. You have to check in the July-Sept quarter.
