Actually , this is quite common. A lot of movies we watch as kids or teenagers would feel like its funny or romantic or amazing, but when you rewatch it as an adult, it turns out to be either toxic, or cringe or unrealistic.

Mrs.Doubtfire, it was fun when i watched it as a kid but now when i watch it, i understand why the wife wanted the divorce. Husband was an immature kid in the marriage xD

BTW, ever watched Flubber? its so much fun. But if you watch it as an adult, you can see its actually a toxic relationship where he keeps leaving his fiance at the altar , puts his experiments above his love life and his fiance is stuck in a shitty real-life version of stockholm syndrome

@Adith Yeap, I thought I was the only one, searched through the IMDB rating and found very few people posting negative about the movie, hehe.
I haven't watched Flubber, I will watch just in case if I get some time, lol.

Next in my list is actually Idiocracy, I plan to watch this weekend. Have you watched it?

@aayusharyan Oh that movie will feel like looking into an echo chamber . Its so much realistic for first half with today's twitter and reddit echo chambers being brought to life. Its a fun but dauntingly realistic movie. Enjoy it 😉

Regarding RHTDM,
That's because our mind used to apply its own perspective to explore and imagine based on the opportunities we have before us.

To come out from that confusing mind syndrome, this is what I do. If I like a movie, I like them always, irrespective of knowing a different perspectives and point of view due to aging.

So, I will like RHTDM through out life and tell my mind why it's a good movie and who is it's target audience.
