Don't know but they agreed on my sbi cashback and charges are returned, will try next year for aurum.

any one here who has done down grade of sbi card , is downgrade is instant or it takes 7 days time and when the old card fee is auto refunded

yeah i have sbi cashback they revered fee and made ltf but not for elite and i cant pay 5000 for a useless card with no renewal benifit

I don't have any experience but somehow I feel the downgrade will happen eventually..

SBI cards operates in its own typical ways

Elite is not the easy card to get even Fee waived. @danish when your card gets flipped/downgraded, you will see new card in the app. Check tomorrow in the app. I am not sure if EMI is running on existing card then how downgrade will be handled.

Did they said the fees will be reversed after downgrade?

yes sbi card customer care said that next time when the new card statement generates the new card fees will be added and old one will be reversed but i do not trust sbi card empolyees , i talked to rentention team to by placing closure request on my cash back card as emi is on elite , i told first reverse then only i will not close cash back he tired but said no offer , then he said you can downgrade then he took a minute hold and said can not downgrade as emi is running but he did not placed or raised any request after i told even reverse reverse half the fees he said not possible so at last i told i do not want to cancel my cash back card , then i called customer care sbi card they sucess fully raised request by ivr where i pressed 1 , and request was sucessfully raised , one thing i known card can be downgraded when there is outstanding but do not known about emi will update what happens next
