I have been having a question for a while now. Will tap to pay work for amounts above ₹5000? I'm guessing you just have to enter PIN as an additional step?
I've been using my phone for tap to pay but never tried for above 5k.

@RajeshV in domestic, I don't think it works. Internationally, yes. I have bought an iPhone on tap to pay without any pin or anything on my AmEx.
