I think you might have a got an email from HDFC. In the email, the scheduled date will be mentioned and the actual payment happens the very next day early in the morning.
Is there a way to change this "Amount will be debited within 4 days prior to the due date, once the bill is generated."
I get anxious waiting for the date to reach 4 days before due. Any idea how long does it take to autopay to get triggered?
Utilisation is considered individually for banks high utilisation and timely payment is good as it will help in credit limit increase and upgrades but for cibil low utilisation is good
I requested SBI to changemybilling date and one of the conditions I got was the following:
"You will have to foreclose the S2S plan in case you want the billing cycle to be changed."
Can anyone please tell me, what does this mean?
I am looking for manual schedule this time for one of my payments i am not getting manual schedule date option in hdfc billpay, i am not getting now which option i need to follow what i am missing here , usually it going as system by default scheduled 4 days before bill last due.
kindly guide...
Hi, I have the same query as yours. Please tell me that after changing your statement cycle when was your first statement generated? Was it 25th December or 25th January?
Hi All..
This is to highlight fraud done by Axis in posting cashback on the Axis Airtel credit card
My Statement generation date is 12th of every month.
For the Airtel Broadband payment of 942.82 done on 11th October the same was not posted in October month Statement but posted in November...
The best part is we can pay bill in two different month to avail the Bill payment benefits using debit cards most effectively.
Rewards/ cashbacks are based on calendar months only.
So you had outstanding balance on billed date but it wasn't reported.
Coz in order to improve cibil, I was pre-paying every bill before due date and with this fortnightly system it's even more confusing
Oh ok that explains everything. Another problem is when I asked customer care what would happen if I changed the statement generation date on one HDFC card and I am not sure if they are knowledgeable about this or ignorant but most of the customer care people I talked to said the statement cycle...
Why are you so paranoid about this?
Relax man.
All my shibill reports have 26th or 27th as reporting date for sbi cards. They only report bill generated amount not USED LIMIT.
Dont know about recent changes adaptation by banks about rbi circular for bi monthly reporting mandate
What do you mean by amount difference?
Each bank has their own report methodology i.e. Some reports on later date but picks due/outstanding from different date,
"as sbi picks amount which was due/outstanding on last date of month but put on reporting portal before due date of same account"...
Glad my post could clarify your doubts! You're right—fortnightly reporting will definitely make us more mindful of utilization throughout the month, not just around the statement date. It'll be interesting to see how this impacts credit management strategies moving forward.
