I got the confirmation of approval on 18th, but as kandarp26 mentioned if I activate after 14 days I won't get the 1500 amazon voucher in case they don't convert it to ltf within 30 days and if I decide to pursue it with pno and rbi. They already extended it once so that's why a bit paranoid i guess, also they changed the ticket number too.

I hope so but as kandarp26 mentioned in his comment, what if they are trying to extend this till 30 days so the card deactivates automatically?

update they responded today again, and now they are saying they will respond by 2nd November and they have changed the reference number of the ticket. Can anyone tell how long it usually takes HDFC to respond to grievances mails?

Yeah you are right, I guess I will activate the card before 14th day, but if it isn't made LTF then I will be screwed and will have to pay 2500, thats one thing I am scared of. I don't mind not getting the welcome benefits if they convert it to LTF but right now it's so difficult to understand...
