🚨 If you use ICICI IShop to redeem points for flight bookings, BEWARE! They can silently cancel your booking, refund only a partial amount after 20 days, and you won’t even know unless you manually check your transactions!

The second booking Story : Second Attempt
1️⃣ Failed Booking, Points Deducted:

🔥 Here’s How ICICI IShop Screwed Me Over:
- Booked a flight from Coimbatore to Delhi using my ICICI credit card & reward points through IShop portal (BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!).
- Everything looked fine – got an Order ID, Vendor ID, and my card was charged.
- But when I checked the PNR on Air India’s website after a few days, it suddenly showed "Payment Incomplete" 🤯—even though it initially said the booking was successful.
- I was NEVER informed of any cancellation. No SMS, no email, NOTHING.
- 20 DAYS LATER, without my knowledge, they silently refunded only ₹5,714 instead of ₹10,753. I only noticed because I randomly checked my statement. Where’s the rest of my money?!

🚨 Customer Support is COMPLETELY USELESS
- IShop Support: After waiting forever, they said "it’s not our problem" and told me to contact EaseMyTrip. 😡
- EaseMyTrip Support: They CONFIRMED ICICI Rewards Team was the one who canceled it!
- So basically, ICICI canceled my booking without telling me, held my money for 20 DAYS, refunded only a part of it, and now expects me to run around to fix THEIR mistake.
❌ Why You Should NEVER Trust ICICI IShop:
1️⃣ They randomly cancel bookings WITHOUT informing you.2️⃣ They refund your money AFTER WEEKS—partially!
3️⃣ Your reward points might NOT be refunded properly.
4️⃣ Customer support is CLUELESS and will keep pushing you to another department.

🔥 What I’m Doing Now:
- Filing a chargeback dispute with my bank.
- Raising an official complaint with the Banking Ombudsman (RBI).
- Reporting this fraud to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).
- Taking this to Twitter, LinkedIn, and news portals—ICICI cannot keep doing this!

The second booking Story : Second Attempt

- I tried to book another different flight using my reward points, but the transaction failed. Despite the failure, my points were deducted.
- I was told the points would be refunded within 30 minutes, but it’s been days and I still haven’t received them.
- I received a refund for the payment after several days, but the points are still missing.
- Customer support gave me conflicting timelines—first 30 minutes, then 24 hours, then 2-3 days. It’s been way longer than that, and I’m still waiting for the debited points.
- Every time I contacted support, I got generic responses like “please wait” or “we’re looking into it.”
- No one could give me a clear answer or escalate the issue properly.
- The lack of transparency and accountability is shocking.
- ICICI IShop can deduct your points but will take ages to resolve a small complaint
- Refunds (both money and points) take forever, and you’ll have to keep following up. Still points are not credited back - Its almost a week.
- Customer support is unhelpful and will give you the runaround instead of solving the issue.
