2nd Credit card in 6 months

I was offered a Freedom LTF in March end. it was approved and sent in the first week of April. I only applied for it because of the 1500Rs. amazon gift card. (Which I have not received yet). and now it is May, and I already got another email for a pre-approved HDFC credit card + 1500Rs voucher. but the thing is when I try to apply, it says I have recently applied for a HDFC card, and I won’t be able to apply for it just yet. What do I do?


The offer won’t vanish in the next months, right?

Another question: the email says this will be my second HDFC credit card, though I already have 2 HDFC LTF Credit cards namely Regalia and Freedom.

I think pre-approved site have restrictions, retry after 6 months of past card processed date.

Why did you go ahead for Freedom when you had Regalia in the first place? There are much better options that freedom to be held as a second card.

i realised that hdfc only gives 2 cards max usually after i got that card. Anyways apart from the 1500 voucher, i went with freedom because that freedom card is my first (and only, for now) rupay credit card. i had tried asking the bank to convert my regalia to rupay franchise be they denied.

and to be completely honest, i don't use any of these cards. i just have them with me. my primary cards are sbi cashaback (for online shopping) and airtel axis (for bill payments)

and now i actually dont think that already having 2 cards is a big deal. i have many friends how have >2 hdfc core cards

Manual hdfc wont give >2 cards.

They might got via online application.
