I am a little bit confused about your question, so will tell you the whole timeline.

I had Kotak 811 account from a long time. I had applied for normal 811 debit card (red and white color) thinking that it will be useful for offers. It is chargeable with some rs.200 per year charges. But unfortunately it was not eligible for any Kotak DC offers. So I kept it idle and thought I will cancel it after one year.

Now I got Super 811 upgrade. They issued a second debit card for this account (shiny metallic red color with white background). As soon as I got this second DC, I used it for some online transactions and it was working. The AMC for this second DC is already part of Rs.300 Super programme enrollment charges.

Thereafter I blocked my first DC because I don't find any benefit to keep it and don't want to waste money. Hope it is clear

Both physical and Virtual cards were working for me. Don't know what happened in your case.

Yes, basically it's AMC of DC only atleast in my opinion, they just renamed and given some other name as enrollment fees. Enrollment for every year with the consent, lol. 🤣

But it's specifically mentioned somewhere (if i remember well) that one who has existing physical DC, no new DC will be issued, same card will become eligible for 5% CB program.

That's why I become curious.

I don't think this is correct. I haven't explicitly applied for debit card when I enrolled for Super. They did it on their own. Also both cards are different, the new one is a Visa Platinum. Old one was simple Visa debit card.

The cashback programme is pertaining to Visa Platinum card only. This is my understanding
 
so I received the check book and debit card within like 3 days of acc coversion. I have a Q, what happens to my old debit card? it still shows in the app. I have used new debit card for 10 rs so it is activated but old debit card isn't doing away. Is this supposed to be like this?
called kotak they said the old debit card will have a fee levied in april this yr and they told me if i don't want a fee, then let them take a req. to close that card which i just did. they closed it and no fee whatsoever now.

Yes, correct, old one is Visa Classic to be precise, but it's mentioned who already hold Visa Platinum (old customer has the option upgrade and procure other DC including platinum as well, for e.g, PVR Visa Platinum DC), for them no DC will be issued, it's mentioned like that.

I visited 2 kotak branches for 811 bank account opening and both of them said that 811 account Discontinued by bank and they are not opening new accounts, is it true?
In November, when I filled out the form online for a Kotak 811 account, I was supposed to receive a call from Kotak for the account opening process. However, no one called me within 3 business days. I waited for 2 more days and then tweeted on X about not receiving any call regarding the account opening process. The next day, a bank representative from a nearby location visited me and opened my account.

I live in Delhi. Where do you live that you are facing such issues?

1. I think DC (virtual) attached with 811 is free. Only physical DC was chargeable if ordered. Rs. 200 charge is new to me. Are you taking about old physical or virtual (default)?
2. New DC automatically generates and delivered to 811Super ac holders.
3. Cashback for using old virtual DC may also be eligible for cashback provided you are enrolled for 811Super and fulfilling other conditions. Someone in the forum has said so (I didn't verify his claim though). Hence, I think it's not right to say old dc not eligible unless u verify it once.
