I just registered my interest to open 811 Super account online. Got an SMS that a bank officer will contact within 3 days. How many days does it usually take to open the account? And does a bank official visit the address or do we have to go to any nearby Kotak branch?
If branch near you can go. Otherwise wait.
Now seems they are busy. I'm requesting call in Help section, no one calling back
 
So I just opened a new 811 super account with initial funding of Rs 5000 and the account is activated as well. I can see Super Plan Active in the app. My doubt is do I have to order a debit card from the app or will they send automatically?
agent visited your home or you had to visit branch?
 
Hei Guys...I think I have an update, 811 super account is rolling out in phase manner...it is like metro places- urban-semi urban- rural i think...because when i enquire they said their branch is not eligible for this upgrade for existing customer... that's why some of us are not eligible
 
The card with "Virtual Card" written on it, is normal 811 card and is not eligible for 5% cashback.

811 Super Card will show up after you receive SMS/Email that your card has been generated.
I tried adding the Virtual card to GPay but keep getting an issuer denied error. Same thing with Samsung wallet. Is this because the Virtual one can no longer be used since I will be getting the physical debit card?

There are 2 virtual cards, how many do you see at this moment?
 
have they stopped opening new 811 account through vKYC…one of my family member is getting message to visit nearest branch, after entering his details on the website??
 
That's your old 811 debit card, not your super 811. After couple of days, you will see 2 virtual debit cards.

I'm not sure, why you aren't able to use it on tap and pay, make sure settings are ON for your old virtual DC.
Contactless transactions are ON. Maybe its because the account was opened and activated today. Will try again tomorrow.
 
Contacted Kotak customer care about this eligibility nonsense and they told me that internally they have a "Classification" system for each customer. For people having just an 811 account (New to Bank), the classification is also "811". Since I also have Everyday Savings account, my classification is "Kotak One". Therefore 811 Super is not possible. They also said changing the classification is not possible as it is determined by the relationship we have with the bank (which savings account products, which credit cards, prepaid cards etc). There are other classifications too such as "Kotak Edge" or "Privy League" etc
