Aadhar pan linkage became free ?

I paid 2000 for myself and my mother for linkage till today its not linked i checked on site now they took the pan aadhar linkage for free its not asking for any payment

They tried to grab for linking and last 2 years earned also
Hope they met target so made free now to encourage the defaulters

It was free awhile ago,mine even though i paid for it didnt linked when i tried to apply it didnt ask anything and now its linked too
