ohh..i was not aware...strangely only adani airports are impacted...It seems adani will provide access to lounge at its airports only for adani one card holders......Must be the dreamfolk lounge issue going on -

For the lounge owner, it doesn't matter, they get paid whether the customer has complimentary offer or pays upfront.

No, all airports were impacted. Fortunately the issue is now resolved.

It does matter. Most of us will not pay the hefty charges to access lounge. They will lose a lot of business. As per TOI, Kolkata lounge was on the verge of filing a legal case against Dreamfolks.
There was an article in ET Prime that some lounge operators are seeking direct partnerships with banks, bypassing aggregators like DreamFolks.

That will make things worse. Each bank will need to maintain the lounge access data and build the validations at their end. Imagine no Visa, MC, Rupay, etc. and your CC/DC needs to be validated by the bank directly.

As per the report Adani is trying to replace Dreamfolfs...so in effect Adani is going to play the aggregator role instead of each bank maintaining these details and validating the same (which I suggested earlier). This is a feasible model. If Adani succeeds, they can even offer this service to other airport lounges to. This will become a new business line for Adani.Sharing the link here

BUT, the issue will still remain. Unless and until there are multiple aggregators and airport lounges tie up with all of them. Say for instance Adani starts using their own service and cancels the tie up with Dreamfolks. Tomorrow, the Adani SW can develop a glitch and the same situation will arise.
