Accor international booking - Forex transaction?

I'm planning to book accor hotel outside india (indonesia). i'm going use my points, yet i need to use Atlas for remaining amount.

i have chosen INR as currency in Accor App. Still i have a doubt whether it will be a forex transaction or domestic.

if forex, then still atlas is better isn't? it will give back 10% back as miles (AKA 18% accor points)

Any other hack to avoid forex?

Yes you will get 10% return for hotels on atlas.
It will be an Indian rupee transaction but you will get charged 1.18% dynamic currency conversion fees

Also check the Accor price in the local currency (Indonesia rupiah), in US dollars and Indian rupees.
Compare all three rates on xe.com and let us all know which rate is the best.
the Indian rupee rate may be 4.13% higher

If its a prepaid booking they would charge the amount now. if not only at the time of stay!!

Hi,

I am in the same boat.

I just added my card in the app and tried to make a booking. I hoped it would take me to the payment gateway, but I received a confirmation message that the hotel booking was successful.

Not sure, how this works,

If anybody can explain, it will be very helpful.

Thanks.

IT will say Confirm but they will debit the card only at the time of checkin!!

But what If I want to make a non refundable booking? Then should I contact the Hotel and make some payment beforehand? They auto cancel prepaid non-refundable bookings, I think.
you can cross check it once with the hotel. I also did a non refundable booking and they charged me only after i check-in to the hotel

I only book the cheapest non refundable rooms using points and the small balance payment is charged immediately.
I use Atlas card

If it is a prepaid booking, they will charge your card in few days. Generally I mailed them to charge asap and confirm the booking.
