Accor Plus Membership App Issues

Is anyone else facing issue when trying to purchase Accor Plus membership on the app?

There is a promotion for 3000 All Points when purchased online. On the payment page, once I choose to pay using Card/ Net Banking etc- it goes to a page showing INCORRECT MERCHANT ID.

Has anyone else faced this and has a resolution? Tried online chat- they gave an email ID for app related issues.

This is not at all good value even if you get 3000 Accor points free
This page is fine. It allows me to proceed till the payment page and then shows an error.

I am taking this for 1 Night free offer at Fairmont Singapore. The average room price is more than 16K (plus 3000 Points is EUR 60, that I can use to pay at hotel for small expenses).

Even I tried to get Fairmont Singapore.
It's simply not available by using Accor plus voucher.
Or whenever it is available, there is some extra charge/payment required

Oh okay. Didn’t know that, I guess it’s good I haven’t bought so far then. I will look for other better options then without this Accor Plus. Or will first confirm availability before buying.

Thanks

There are some people who don't know what to do with that Accor plus one night stay because they are not travelling anywhere.
they are looking to stay in a hotel in their own city which doesn't make sense, when they have their own house to stay in

Yeah right. My travel is fixed , just need to check availability before spending 16k now.

If you are loyal to Accor properties, now is the best time to get this as you can aim for the gold/platinum tier by the end of this year and retain the status till the end of next year.
Yes. I guess so. Before Technofino, I never knew Reward Points and Miles can be so useful. I travel at least 4-6 times outside India for work mostly across Asia and at least 2-3 family holidays including one international. So I think now I have to start doing this instead of random bookings 😂

Though the Stayplus night is quite limited in its redemption, that along with the other vouchers, almost makes up for the cost of the membership. The cherry for me is the Red Hot Rooms provision which offers some stellar deals outside India over the normal published rates.

Yeah true. But I haven't seen Red Hot Rooms offers for anything except Ibis brand, which I normally don't stay in. I have zeroed in on purchasing this anyhow. But the app issues is still there, so unable to proceed and Accor customer service is least helpful in this.

Ibis is the most widely available. But I have found many deals on Mercure and Pullman as well. Besides, Ibis outside India is quite decent. I stayed in one of the Ibis properties in HKG during my work trip and it was pretty good.
And for your issue, try X to highlight it. They will get back to you

Oh okay. My travel is mostly to Dubai (for events at DWTC, so Novotel is perfect for me there), for family trips i prefer Avani Ibn Battuta, Riyadh (Radisson near Airport is best, no changing there). Accor I can use for mostly 1 family vacation of a week in a year (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam- 2025) and for other work travel to Europe (at least 45 days a year).

Before Technofino I never used loyalty points etc. despite multiple travel trips annually since Covid. Now I understood what I have been loosing since.

Update: I bought the Accor Plus membership online at the website. Used it to get Sofitel Singapore City Centre for free for a night. Fairmont was available a week later than our travel dates.
