Accor Plus status on renewal

I plan to renew my accorplus membership next month. I’m at gold status currently, and I believe that I’ll be downgraded to silver if I let it expire.
What happens if I renew it before expiring? Will the 20 status nights that I receive, add in my gold to platinum upgrade quota?

Yes... they are added

However your status nights are reset to zero from Jan 1st. So if you renew now before exipry, 20 nights will get added. You will need 40 more nights to reach platinum before Dec 2025
