Accor Points Redemption Issue. Embarrasing!

I just stayed at Ibis Pune Hinjewadi yesterday. I did the same and asked them to burn my points during the checkout. The total bill was arround Rs 5.6K including everything but they said that I am only eligible to redeem 2000 Accor points and rest has to be paid by me. I had more than 20K Accor points but still I had to pay around Rs 2.2K in cash. I was blank at the time when they said this. Is this some kind of SCAM they did with me or is it legit ? Is there really some capping when paying with points ? Should I talk to accor customer care?

I have Noted that some hotels allow tax part to be redeemed by points some don’t. So 1000 points 1800 rupees wud have some part tax. I think they have followed their protocol

What do you mean by till 15th? Is there a change?

FYI OP, I have paid tax as well as in multiple of 1000 after 2000. So yeah, that hotel definitely had some misinformation.

Is there anyone who can help me ? I can't seem to find Accor's customer care number. I wouldn't have added my ER to Accor if I knew this.

Limited time: Accor ALL Reduces Minimum Redemption Requirement to 1,000 Reward Points on app

Received this in mail today From now until 15 September 2023, ALL is reducing the minimum redemption from 2,000 Reward points (equivalent to EUR 40) to 1,000 Reward points (equivalent to EUR 20) when booking on ALL.COM or the Accor ALL app.

Share a copy of your registered identity like aadhar or passport
They would unsuspend it withing 2-3 days

You should look for the 'All' sign , on clicking see rates you should see option of redeeming points. If you are not able to see that , there is a high chance your account is suspended. In that case connect with Accor India team at WhatsApp (+91 92050 07271) and over email.

Ask them to unsuspend your account , they would tell you to change your password and ask for a identify proof such as aadhar or passport upon submission they would unsuspend it within 2 days.
Also try not to login to your accor account while being connected to a public wifi , this is the most common reason of getting your account suspended

This works 99% of the time. If they say, taxes can't be paid using points and such, you will have to fight.

Yes you can

So hotels usually try to redeem only 2000 points because it does not require otp. You can tell them to do multiple 2000 points redemption or if the bill is less than 2000 points, you can add some room service and pay the balance at checkout.

For larger bills, some hotels have a limit of 10000 points per transaction.
