Can an addon card member be made the primary?

I don't think so. The credit profile may vary. Even with the same credit profile, banks will simply ask us to apply a new card for the other person and let them create add-on.

Check with the issuing bank, though. They might ask to create another savings account with them to do such a thing.

If both primary and add-on holder don't have a savings account, then it Is certainly not possible.

No, instead some banks do not offer a card in case you already hold an addon of same variant 😁
