AirAsia messed up my itinerary. Flight cancelled. Help.

So, my Airasia flight back to India got cancelled and I am being offered an alternate flight on alternate day. As all my other bookings (hotel and tour) has been booked, it's nearly impossible for me to select alternate date. Only option for me is to fly to alternate airport.

Airasia is offering full refund to original payment method. but, the problem is I have cancelled the original payment method i.e. idfc wow cc.

The last option I am getting is a credit shell for 2 years, but I am not so keen on it. As I am not sure of future travels.

My brain is not working, what should I do. Need suggestion and guidance on the best way out.
 
Banging head with Air Asia will not help, I would recommend to contact IDFC and seek guidance. Don't tell them flight is cancelled, say it is normal refund and Air Asia is adamend to send this to payment source only.

I understand your point, but the thing is I already cancelled the cc by which I paid. So, is it possible to get refund into a cancelled cc?

why don't you ask AA to issue refund to your alternate bank account?
 
Your priority should be getting to the location on time else the financial loss will be higher compared to this flight fare.
Book an alternative ticket and go this place. Once you are back from the trip, get ready to fight this message with Air Asia management..also put in the claim for differential expenses you incurred.
Use all escalations, use social media, TripAdvisor, etc..even mark Tony Fernandes and the regulators in CC...DGCA or any Regulator is Pro-customer...effort jyada hai, but best possible option at this moment

Yes agree. I have to save the trip somehow. This sudden cancellation of flight and postponing flight for 2 days has put me in a difficult situation.
