Airbnb Bookings - Need clarity on charges

Have to make international bookings on Airbnb

All the prices shown to me are in INR, however i do understand that they are converting the charges from the local currency to INR

I will be using my Atlas card for the payment.

Will I be charged:

1. Forex Charges (3.5% +GST)
2. DCC (1% + GST)
3. Forex + DCC

New to the game, sorry is this is a noob question.

Also, are people still getting 5% EMs on Airbnb? Read that few people got 5% EMs on airbnb

I won't be charged DCC also?

I was going through threads here which specified that i will be charged DCC as a currency conversion is actually happening on the backend..

"5x miles- yes" - Do I need to be careful about the MCC or is it 5x on all international bookings?

I have done 3 - 4 bookings in past 2 years. No DCC and 5x always. If you are still unsure make a refundable booking and check MCC for satisfaction

I made 4 transactions, all transactions were for international properties.
Have gotten 5% points for two transactions, 3.4% for one and 2% for the 4th transaction.

All the 4 transactions have the same credit card partner in the transaction history.

I really want to raise this to the customer support team, but I fear they might reverse back the 5% rewards for the first two transactions as well.

What do you suggest?

Unsure how it has happened. Did you get same description while entering OTP. Also 3.4% is not possible. Its 5% or 2%. Its 5x or 2x edge miles. I hope you have not made payments over monthly edge miles allowed.

Yes, the description was same while entering the OTP.

Also, even if that is the case, the points should be credited in the order of transactions done. Right?

1st transaction - 2%
2nd - 5%
3rd- 3.4%
4th- 5%

Any idea why would this be the case?

Do you know if this is a calendar month or a statement cycle?

I thought it is a statement cycle, and made the bookings according to that 🙁

It is a calendar month.
Even the customer care agent was confused, told me it's a statement month -> but corrected that it is a calendar month

Have an Amex Plat Travel too which I havent hit the 4L limit yet along with the Atlas , wondering which would beneficial in this case ?

It should be Atlas, but check if you are within limits
