At least in India all gift cards are regulated by RBI. Loyalty points are still in the grey area.

Tumlogo ko yeh toh pata hoga k Visa Card k BIN 4 se Start, Mastercard 5, Amex 3, Discover 6 se hote the.

Par baki numbers ka kya ?

Airlines companies apne card issue karte the aur unke bhi apne starting k koi number tha, par yaad nahi konsa tha.

I am talking about earlier days when credit cards launched in US. Diners Club also issue cards start with 36

Things are changed now

Discover cards are start with 60, 64, 65
RuPay Cards start with 508, 60, 81, 82 (Card number start with 65 is Discover and 35 is JCB Card)
China Unionpay card start with 62
Mastercard - 5, 22-27
Amex - 34, 37
Russian Mir card - 22
Vietnam's Napas Card - 97
Indonesia's GPN Card - 19, 50, 56, 58, 60-63
Africa's famous Verve Card - 50, 65
Turkey's Troy card - 97
