Hi, I got Airtel airfiber last month. The thing I don't like is the wifi name starts Airtel_(the name I choose). The Airtel name is default. I can't edit it. So I talked to customer care but they said it can't be changed. So why should I do free marketing for Airtel because I'm paying the bill for the service. I had jio fiber previously. In that, we can change full name. I want to know what can I do, where can I complaint about this? Please share your advise. Thank you!
Yes, Airtel built their system in a way, the name Airtel become uneditable. It's not that recent change but it was not from very beginning also. So, mandatorily, Wi-Fi SSID becomes Airtel _XYZ. Here, XYZ means whatever we want. For e.g:
For Someone, it doesn't matter at all, fully ignorable thing, whereas someone mind it.
As you asked, what you can do is once try changing it through router page setup, login through the gateway. Someone can still change through this way.
Even after this, If 'Airtel' that comes default in your SSID and it troubles you, then I better suggest switching to some another company rather than escalating your complaint. Based on your complaint, I don’t think they will make changes to their algorithm, if it's a constructive criticism/feedback for them.
