Amazon & Flipkart Bank Offer Hack

CardMintz

TF Buzz
Buying something expensive on Amazon or Flipkart?

Here’s a BANGER savings hack most people still miss 💥💸

Most bank instant discounts apply only on the minimum spend — NOT the full product price!

Example:
Oppo Find X9 Pro (~₹1.10L)
Bank offer: ₹11,000 instant discount
Minimum spend: ₹15,000 only 🤯

✅ Pay just ₹15K via credit card → get full ₹11K discount

✅ Pay the remaining amount using GVs (Amazon Shopping Voucher / Flipkart GV)

Now stack the REAL hack:
Buy those GVs using platform offers + cashback cards / premium cards → extra 6%–14% savings 🤑🔥

One purchase → INSANE total savings unlocked 🚀

Before buying, ALWAYS check the product’s minimum order value for bank discounts!

I know most people already know this… but still sharing for those who don’t 👀💡

Hi, how to pay a certain amount through card and balance with GC.

Do I need to make sure for maximum 10% card discount for example is capped at ₹1500.
1500/10% is ₹15000. If Product amount is 40k then buy GC worth 25k and pay balance with card?

This will only work on Flipkart, not on Amazon. You cannot make partial payments with Amazon gift vouchers and cards. It's either full payment using a credit card or Amazon vouchers. And this is nothing new. Nalle Twitter influencers just post the same old things.

Always check the minimum order value for instant discounts — it varies by product and can change anytime (e.g., today it’s ₹15K, tomorrow Amazon/Flipkart may change it to ₹30K).

Once you know the minimum spend, use your credit card only for that amount to get the instant discount.
Example: Minimum spend ₹30K for ₹5K discount → Pay just ₹30K via credit card, and use gift cards for the remaining amount

This is definitely a useful trick, but there's an important downside to keep in mind.

If you ever have to return the item, maybe because you find it cheaper elsewhere or due to a quality issue, most of the amount will be refunded as wallet balance/GVs, and that can be a real headache to deal with.

I went through this last year when I bought a laptop worth Rs 1.25L. I had added around Rs 98K to my Flipkart wallet, and later found the same laptop on Amazon for a much cheaper price. I ended up cancelling the order and got almost Rs 1L stuck in my Flipkart wallet. Had to use it up unnecessarily over time.

So the hack works, but be cautious about returns, they can lock your money into wallets.

Please make sure not to return or cancel the order midway, as it will trigger a refund to the original payment method and leave you with a large amount in gift card balance.

Thread is not about Mobile price
eventually it comes down to the price of the product right as your post was using vouchers on the remaining amount to save "money" and hence my comment, here in india they have launched only one variant for now which is 16/512 for 1.1L and the same was launched in China for 74k 2months back (36k diff) and in fact China has the starting variant as 12/256 for 65k, understand you have to take in the conversion charges/duties etc but paying extra 36k is not really worth it as by now in China itself it would be further down by 10k on account of sales..

also my whole post doesn't make sense for those who have surplus or don't worry about money and can buy the product on launch date 🙂

This thread isn’t about any specific phone.
I’m explaining how to save money using the minimum order value (MOV) + gift cards

I got it but what I am trying to say is that these offers are there for the newly launched products or ones that are higher in price and not for like e.g. Oppo K13 which would have like 10% etc only.. so why to buy them in the first place and that too with GCs to save money as those buying it won't bother about the price and won't look into your post for tips to save money..

good idea, only issue is if we need to return or cancel. i ordered a mobile on flipkart last week with next day delivery and it is still not delivered, they might cancel it i guess, in that case, if i have used GV, i will run into problem if i get it cheaper in amazon by the time i reorder it,
still, good info
