I found that if I go to Amazon app-> Amazon Pay-> Manage Card -> transaction list, it is showing for me cashback percentage earned for that transaction. But i found for gift card purchase its showing 2%. I think for Oct22 statement I received 5% but in Amazon app its showing 2% earned so it looks like technical error. Do people also see gift card purchase using AmazonPay CC, showing 2% cashback for them but credited 5% cashback.

Now second issue, for Nov22 statement of my card they credited me only 2% cashback for gift card purchase. Amazon credit card customer care is hopeless. They keep saying they don't know if I should earn 5% but whatever is given is correct. I will look now whom to escalate for this issue of 2% vs 5% cashback. I am Prime member.

Got call from ICICI and they confirmed that on gift card its only 2% cashback. I am not sure if people are getting 5% cashback on gift purchase using ICICI APay card.

Can someone please reply here and confirm me the % cashback for gift card purchase? if its 2% then only SBI Cashback is there to give 5% cashback.

Icici card always gives 2% only. Sometimes u get 5% temporarily. But they reverse it in a later statement.

This aside, my personal calculations always differ from actual cashback earned somehow. And I always assume like it is some adjustments from previous months.

In September bill, I also got about 50% extra cashback somehow. I assumed either they have credited 5% for some gift card transactions or maybe missed some in previous months and added now.

I haven't done any transactions in October - November period, so they haven't got chance to reverse it yet. But now looking at your comment, I think I got extra 3% cb on some of those gift card transactions and that will get reversed next time I make purchases via this card.

Thank you so much @Harry1 for sharing your experience here. I think they might have done same thing to me also. They gave some extra cashback in last to last statement and reversed/adjusted in last statement for me.

I think the only good way to understand it more is to use APay card for Amazon Pay transactions only.
