I bought an Office Home 2024 subscription through Amazon, but received Office Home 2021 in the mail. It is not a subscription product per se, but Amazon lists in subscription option along with office 365 versions.
Initially, the customer support team directed me to contact Microsoft, which I found amusing. However, after transferring the chat to the relevant team, they contacted the seller on my behalf. I can see this message in my Amazon sent messages. The seller, Euronet, was asked to respond within 48 hours, but they did not.
I contacted Amazon again today. Both the initial representative and the senior team member they transferred me to insisted that contacting Microsoft would resolve the issue. I repeatedly explained that Microsoft should not be responsible since they did not sell me the license. I purchased it through the Amazon platform, and Euronet is the seller, but they continued to repeat the same. I requested to file a complaint, but they denied this option as well.
Now, I'm unsure how to proceed. Should I try contacting chat support again during the day? (I contacted them at 4:00 AM.) Or should I use phone support, email, or social media? Perhaps even consider the consumer court? The order amount of ₹7,790 is significant, so I cannot ignore this issue so easily.
