Amex Accepted After All

Last week I went to the grocery store and carried my dad's Amex Smartearn. When they saw Amex they said it's not accepted. They had a HDFC POS machine. I knew it was BS but I wasn't in the mood to argue so I just paid with my phone NFC and left. This week I went again and it was the same cashier. I put the Amex in my thin phone case and pretended to GPay NFC Tap and pay but the NFC was off and the Amex worked through the case. The payment went through without a hitch. Not accepted my ass.

Amex charges the merchant around 2.5% wheres the other cards charge around 0.8-1%. so they avoid accepting amex

It's more like 3% for Amex and 1.5% for other cards

They will disable amex in pos after few months when they realise it from statements
