Amex Application Income Documents Issue

Hello,

I have applied for a Gold Charge card a month ago and Amex has not been accepting my salary slips. They keep saying that it is invalid. I used the same salary slips at Axis and HSBC and both of them approved credit card applications.

AMEX CS keeps asking me to download the salary slip from the company portal, but my company does not have a company portal, we have an office accountant who manages the payroll and handles salary slips manually.

The help that I need from the community is please either dm me the exact salary slip pdf you uploaded to Amex and got your card approved or you can download this app: https://github.com/zaro/pdf-metadata-editor/releases to get the metadata information of the pdf. Please do not edit or rename the pdf, directly download it from your company portal and put it in this app just like you would have done while uploading it for the application, it is completely safe and open source.

Please share the screenshots from all the tabs (Document, XMP Basic, XMP PDF etc)


I want to try this route one time before sending an email to Amex and then moving to RBI Ombudsman like some individuals have had to do on here to get their salary slips accepted. Thanks.

(I am aware about the recent pause on Amex applications, and I have confirmed that ongoing applications are not affected.)

I had same issue. At that time we did not have any company erp portal. Now it’s not an issue since we got one. But at that time I basically edited metadata with a CLI application and made it look like I downloaded from internet.

It worked!

Also make sure you have logo in your salary slip. Amex was pretty adamant on the same. Kinda stupid but that’s how they roll.
