Amex bill cycle clarity

I have to book a hotel and want to use my amex platinum travel. But I want the next cycle bill to reflect this charge.

My bill is generated on 15th of every month. If I book on 13th, would I be billed now or in next cycle?

If it's emailed to you on 15th of every month, chances are it's generated on 15th 12AM so anything post that should technically be shifted to next cycle.

A lot of times, charges are stuck in pending state for transactions I made on 14th and weren't added to bill till the 15th and hence showed up in the next cycle. So, a lot fo factors would come into consideration like how fast the merchants processes the transaction, their payment processor and so on.

But the safest best would be to pay on 15th afternoon or evening to guarantee that the transaction is posted in the next cycle.

waiting until:
16th - safest (100- 0)
15th - almost safe (95-5)
14th - riskier( 50 - 50)
13th - definite NO.... ( .0001 - 99.9999)
This is perfect. If statement date is 15th and u receive the statement email on 16th early morning (even 2am sometimes) then don't risk even on 15th. Maybe after 10pm on 15th is safe.

If it is really urgent, then you can even request for billing cycle change and set it to an earlier date like 13th, 14th but I guess there is no time left as today is already 13th.
To request this change, you need to first clear all the outstanding balances

Is every amex platinum travel card bill cycle scheduled to 15th?
