AmEx Card working with incorrect expiry date and CVV

I have AmEx Platinum Travel Credit Card. Recently, I noticed that the card is working with just any CVV and/or expiry date. Is this expected with American Express cards? All other bank cards were declined with incorrect CVV/expiry date. Can someone here confirm if this is the case with all AmEx credit cards.

If you had tokenised your card at any respective merchant, so transaction may get successful with incorrect cvv too .

No. I deleted the card and then tried again. It's not about tokenisation.

Same experience with me....little bit scary...but I think AMEX must be good at chargeback...
