AMEX for Airlines booking

Hello All,

I have around 200,000 Amex points and I plan to travel to the US for a wedding. I'll be staying at my friend's place, so I don't need to worry about accommodation. What’s the best way to use these points for booking my flight?

You can either directly transfer to desired airlines from amex at 2:1 ratio or amex to marriott and then to the airlines. And marriott has offer as well for every 60k transfer
