Nah I can’t. My Aadhar doesn’t have my surname, whereas my PAN does and it is mandatory for PAN to have surname. Had to go through lot of trouble just to get PAN card.

Can you not change aadhar name on the basis of PAN ?

😂 I could, but the name change limit is restricted to twice for Aadhar and I already changed it once. Now if I change my name according to PAN in Aadhar, the name won’t match any of my education certificates. I think this could be a huge problem for me someday.

wait .. don't get stressed.. the worst thing that could happen : application rejected.. There is always next time...
take it easy, life is beyond Amex card...

First thing forget about this .. let them come with some response.. its not worth worrying ..

You can have the One Person affidavit OR Gazzet for the educational certificates, it's allowed everywhere.

There will be very less places where they will validate your Name and Educational Certificates's names. But the Name of your identity documents like Passport, Aadhar, PAN, etc will require uniqueness at every place.

Name Change Gazette is like earlier my name was this and now this. You might have seen such advertisements in the Newspapers, as it's necessary for the Gazette. This is a full proof method.

Once you are into workforce no one cares about your educational qualifications… except for govt jobs where they will accept gazette’s certificate..

as @NAB mentioned Aadhar, Pan, passport are the ones that need to be same across the board

Name as per previous records in Educational certificates is not at all a problem (you can hold the below documents for evidence of name change accompanying those certificates)

I have gone through similar issue recently, although not major change, it was minor and it happened twice. I had to get an affidavit along with an ad published in newspapers (1 in local newspaper and 1 in national newspaper). This process literally takes 1-2hrs max.

Using the above documents, you can work your way up and change all the Govt. ID documents, preferrable starting from PAN, as this is accepted as valid ID proof in most places. Aadhar works for both ID and Address proof. Eventually, once you get PAN and Aadhar updated, its just a breeze, you only need to submit these copies for updation in other IDs, banks, credit cards, etc...

I applied for the MRCC and SmartEarn together on Dec 20th and on Feb 21st I got the email from Amex stating "After reviewing your application, it has come to our notice that the details provided in your application do not meet our internal requirements for Card issuance. As a result, we are not able to process your application."

Can you DM me so I can explain the situation as I want to apply for this again?

This is correct…
However, You would be very surprised to know how many rejected applications I turned into approvals..
Already some People vouched for it!!
